This weekend, I went up to the summer camp that my parents run in Connecticut. Every year, my mom’s best friend comes up and casts her master gardener magic on the camp garden. The best part about the garden is that all of the campers get to learn how to grow fresh veggies and herbs and then use them to whip up some recipes in the camp cooking program. Then, when I come up to visit after camp, I get the leftovers. Sadly, most of the herbs that I brought back wilted in this NYC apartment air before I had a chance to use them. The veggies and the few herbs that did survive, however, will definitely be appearing in upcoming posts.
